Our Policies

As hobby breeders we have a desire for all of our kittens to go to loving homes. We will not sell any kittens to kitten mills or breeding factories. We also will give special consideration to parents of children with special needs.

Our pet prices

Our kittens are priced between 750$ to 900$

WE DO NOT SELL BREEDERS.

If we will be shipping the kitten there will be a additional fee of 350$ to cover airfare, health certification from a vet, a pet carrier, as well as travel cost to the airport.

This fee is subject to change as airlines change their fees. We encourage you to call different airline companies to discuss with them any shipping questions or concerns you may have.

We accept cash, money orders, or cashier checks. We will accpet a personal check ONLY if it is given at least 10 days prior to picking up your kitten. We will NOT accept a personal check on the day you pick up your kitten.

Choosing Your Kitten, Payment Options, Shipping

Choosing your Kitten

  • If you live within driving distance, we encourage you to schedule an appointment to meet the kittens and choose your own kitten. Or, let your kitten choose you. It does seem that kittens sort of choose their owner when given a little time.
  • If you do come to visit us and actually choose a kitten, a non-refundable deposit of $200 is required immediately to hold the kitten for you.
  • A second visit with your kitten may be arranged on a person by person basis for those living within driving distance. We will make every effort to accommodate second visits, but that may not always be possible.
  • If you are not able to visit and choose your kitten in person, we will make every effort to match a kitten to you and your family. Updated photos will be sent to your email address. You can follow us on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/home.php
  • Photos are more readily available from kittens in Washington. In Arkansas, Chirpy is vision impaired, so photographs are more difficult. However, mom does do a good job taking photos, and some photos of your growing kitten will be sent to you.
  • Our kittens, both in Arkansas and Washington are from very loving and interactive parents. They need to be in a home where they will have attention. Our grown cats are not demanding, but they are interactive. They watch what is going on and enjoy being part of everything.
  • We love to hear from people who have our kittens. If you want to keep up with Midnite Sun Cattery, you are invited to become a follower of our blog at http://homewithpets.blogspot.com/. If you are a follower of our blog, you may submit photos and updates of your kitten(s). They must be G-rated non-political stories. We will post photos with the story. We personally would not use your photos anywhere else without your permission, but we have no way of stopping viewers from snagging photos.

Payment Options

  • Cash is always good. In fact, we prefer cash.
  • Cashier's checks or money orders are accepted.
  • Personal checks are acceptable. However, personal checks MUST be delivered a full two weeks prior to picking up your kitten. If your kitten is being shipped, then checks should be sent a full three weeks in advance. A cashier's check or money order is just easier on everyone. Even that needs to be delivered to us two weeks prior to the actual shipping of your kitten.
  • All payments MUST be made in US dollars without fail.
  • Complete payment for a kitten must be recieved two weeks before shipping.

Health

  • We love our cats. Our adults have regular checkups, are fed a healthy diet, and receive love and attention from the entire family.
  • Our kittens come with age appropriate shots.  We prefer not to provide a health certificate, simply because we want you - the new owner - to take the kitten to your personal vet within 3 days of actually getting your kitten. However, we will, at your request provide a health certificate and age appropriate vaccinations for an additional $50. There isn't really a reason for us to take the kitten to the vet 2 days before you pick it up and then have you take it to the vet 2 days after you pick it up.
  • For kittens being shipped, a health certificate and age appropriate shots will be provided. Expense will be covered in the cost of shipping.

Shipping

The approximate cost of shipping is $350.00

We like to break it down into two sections

First, we will need $150.00 to cover the health certificate, the airline approved shipping crate, and some gas money to make the trip to the airport. It is about 140 miles round trip to take the kitten to the airport for kittens being shipped from the SeaTac Airport in Seattle; and 250 miles round trip for kittens being shipped from Arkansas from the Little Rock Airport. (This is in addition to the cost of the kitten. It will need to be paid in accordance with the payment policy. Money must be paid in US dollars.)

Second, we would like the actual cost of the airline ticket and travel arrangements to be made by the buyer. That must be coordinated between the buyer and seller to ensure that a time is chosen that will allow the seller to get the kitten to the airport at the right time, and that the buyer will be picking up the kitten when it arrives.

This is why we say the 'approximate cost' is $350 at this time.

The kitten described above is being sold as a pet and the following consideration:

1. All payments are non-refundable, including deposits.

2. Buyer accepts the responsibility of caring for the kitten and will provide properly for its welfare. Buyer agrees to keep the kitten indoors in a clean and pleasant environment, un-caged and with proper nutrition, health care, and companionship.

3. This kitten is purchased as a pet, it can be shown, and the buyer must spay or neuter, whichever is the case, as soon as buyer's veterinarian will do it. Breeder will provide registration papers upon receipt of proof of spay or neuter. The kittens are all registered by litter, and will have a number assigned to them. Once you have presented documentation of spaying, we will then send the TICA papers to you to send in and register your cat by name. The cost to you is currently 12$ for non-members. This fee is subject to change.

4. The above described kitten is in good health and free of communicable diseases as far as the SELLER is capable of knowing.

5. Health is guranteed for a period of 5 days from the time the kitten leaves possession of the seller. To validate this guarantee, the buyer must take the kitten to their veterinarian(at buyer's expense) within the said amount of time. If the kitten is found after such examination to have any type of life threatening problem that was present when kitten was in care of the breeder it may be returned and a refund given for the price of the kitten.
